We're proud to come to work every day knowing that what we do has a direct impact on people's lives, with our core values guiding us every step of the way. <strong>Join us to invest in yourself, your career, and the financial world.</strong></p> </div></div><p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>The <strong>Credit Bureau Business Analyst</strong> is a highly autonomous individual contributor responsible for owning bureau relationships, driving data-informed strategy, and executing against SoFi's Credit Reporting Agency (CRA) initiatives.</p> <p>This role sits at the intersection of <strong>credit data, vendor management, and business strategy</strong>—requiring someone who can move beyond reporting to <strong>analyze, influence, and drive decisions</strong> across the credit bureau ecosystem. You will work directly with bureaus (Experian, TransUnion, Equifax) and internal partners to optimize data usage, improve outcomes, and support risk and product strategies.</p> <p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p> <ul> <li>Serve as the <strong>primary owner and point of contact</strong> for assigned credit bureau relationships, working directly with Experian, TransUnion, Equifax, and other data providers</li> <li>Drive <strong>end-to-end bureau execution and strategy</strong> for products and initiatives, including issue resolution, data quality improvements, and rule interpretation</li> <li>Use <strong>SQL and data analysis</strong> to identify trends, uncover root causes, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations</li> <li>Analyze <strong>credit data performance, dispute trends, and bureau feedback</strong> to proactively identify risks and optimization opportunities</li> <li>Partner cross-functionally with <strong>Risk, Product, Compliance, Legal, Disputes, Procurement, and Data teams</strong> to align on strategy and execution</li> <li>Lead and contribute to initiatives with <strong>department- and function-level impact</strong>, including new product onboarding and bureau-related programs</li> <li>Evaluate trade-offs and make <strong>principle-based decisions</strong> that balance risk, cost, and customer impact</li> <li>Support and enhance <strong>risk management and compliance controls</strong> related to credit data (FCRA and related regulations)</li> <li>Provide clear, concise <strong>reporting and insights</strong> to leadership, including performance trends, risks, and opportunities</li> <li>Proactively communicate progress, blockers, and escalations, operating with a high level of ownership and accountability</li> </ul> <p><strong>What You'll Need</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent practical experience</li> <li>Direct experience working with <strong>credit bureaus (Experian, TransUnion, Equifax)</strong> or third-party credit data providers</li> <li>Demonstrated experience <strong>owning or directly managing external vendor or bureau relationships</strong></li> <li>Hands-on experience using <strong>SQL</strong> to analyze data and support decision-making</li> <li>Proven ability to operate independently and drive <strong>cross-functional initiatives</strong> from problem identification through execution</li> <li>Strong analytical mindset with the ability to connect <strong>data insights to business impact</strong></li> <li>Working knowledge of <strong>FCRA and GLBA</strong></li> <li>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to <strong>influence stakeholders without direct authority</strong></li> <li>Ability to thrive in <strong>ambiguous or evolving environments</strong> and drive clarity</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to Have</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in <strong>risk strategy, credit strategy, or fraud strategy environments</strong></li> <li>Experience supporting multiple products or business lines</li> <li>Exposure to <strong>vendor negotiations, procurement, or cost optimization initiatives</strong></li> <li>Experience with <strong>disputes operations, audits, or regulatory reviews</strong></li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><div class="gmail_default"><strong>Compensation and Benefits</strong></div> <div class="gmail_default">The base pay range for this role is listed below.
